Emma | 2 comments I film my BookTube videos on my phone and I have a really hard time producing videos that consistently have good visibility/high resolution. Sometimes I get a really good, clear picture and sometimes it's blurry, and I can't find any commonalities between the blurry videos and the clear ones.

I think the problem is occurring during initial filming - I just checked and realized the uncut versions of the blurry videos were a bit blurry to begin with - but since I always use my phone, I have no idea what's different for the high-quality videos; only thing I can think of is maybe lighting?. Can anyone help?

(For context, I film on my iPhone 10 and AirDrop the videos to my MacBook Pro.)

Gabriela (hey it's gabs) (heyitsgabs) | 9 comments Its probably the angle/balance of the lighting.
which of your videos do you think are the blurriest ones, and which do you think are clear?

I think some of the worst ones are shot under my lofted bed (where it can get dark), and the best are probably the ones I shot at my parents' house (in a room with much better lighting and more space).

Paperback Mo (paperbackmo) It's all lighting and angles.
Lighting helps A LOT. If you can get an artificial light that would be great otherwise use the daylight to your advantage.
You don't always have to have the lighting directly on you, if it's coming in at the side that can work too
