Change a book shown in the series

When you add any book into the series later it shows it as a default in the series list. But is there any way to change which edition of the same book to show in the series list? Sometimes it is useful, as people add some book without any description and even a cover, and then the list looks weird.

It would be useful to change which edition of the book to show in the series list. Could we do it somehow?

The default edition is simply the one shelved by the most users, unless the author has chosen to manually set another edition as the default.

Hm... It is not easy to check, but sometimes I have some doubts that it works like this. But I will look how it works with some editions.
