I read this book between the years 2006 to 2009. It's a series and I remember how the book starts out. It starts with a girl riding her motorcycle either following her father or vice-versa. The dad got a job at a government facility and I think the government is looking for a guy who has powers and this weird light keeps on trying to get him. They end up meeting and the girl helps the guy hide from the government. But the guy decides to step into the light since it won't stop chasing them. I think it was published between the mid 1900s to early 2000s. If anyone can help me figure out this books title, I would greatly appreciate it!
