Hi Everyone,

We are planning our Summer programs and book groups, so if you have any recommendations for titles (other than new or super-popular books that will be hard to obtain) that you've been wanting to read in the summer, please post them here!

I'll add the first 4 suggested titles to our poll, that will be posted this weekend. Then we'll read your top 2 choices in July and August.

Thanks a lot for your input!

Nancy | 39 comments I am currently reading Hudson Valley author Danielle Trussoni's latest - THE ANCESTOR. It's fascinating. I really enjoyed her Angelology. This one is a gothic tale about a young Hudson Valley girl who inherits a castle in Italy with some dark secrets. Check it out.

Thank you, Nancy - that sounds awesome, with the Hudson Valley character and by a Hudson Valley author!

This sounds like an interesting book and it is now on my to read list. Being a Hudson Valley native myself, I also placed the characters in my novel in a Hudson Valley setting. The area is so rich in history it naturally lends itself to many imaginative options for writers. It would be interesting for me to see how Danielle Trussoni incorporated it into her novel.

Ian Wickstead | 13 comments I think Bradbury's Dandelion Wine was mentioned as a possibility for summer after we read Something Wicked This Way Comes last fall. Maybe that's still a possibility?

That's right, Ian - it was mentioned. That would be a great summer read - thanks for the reminder! :)

Does anyone have another recommendation for a summer read?

If so, post your book pick here, before the end of the weekend - thanks!
