This is another scene that I loved. Stacey has a big heart. When she realized how she treated Penn, she needed to make it right as soon as possible. Going to his home, and meeting his family made the meeting more personal. Stacey let Austin know they can be friends and not just co-workers. It is the beginning of the team working through their grief.
Agree 100% Sharon. Stacey realized how she had been treating Penn and needed to apologize to him. Seeing his home life and what he is currently going through was eye opening for her.
Yes, kudos to Stacey. Her breakthrough with Devon enabled her to work through her feelings in a positive way. And she did something about it. On her way to acceptance and healing.
I’m with you, Sharon. Stacey decided to own her mistakes and not wait a minute to rectify it. It takes a big person to handle an apology this way. She made no excuses, which I loved.
Stacey was at a turning point. I thought this was one of the incidents that Marsons put into the story to weave in this theme of choices that had been such a large part of the book.
