They all sound really good. I think my choice would be An Inventory of Losses by Judith Schalansky. Thanks Lizzie. I have really enjoyed reading Kehlmann. My posts on Goodreads are a bit behind.
Have all interested parties had their say?I’ll leave this open for one more day. If nothing changes, I get to use my casting vote for the first time.
I have read Schalansky‘s Hals der Giraffe and really enjoyed, though it wasn‘t exactly an uplifting read. I have never read Lüscher or Salzmann, but Lüscher is on my reading list because somebody recommeded him to me (I think). So I would vote for him.
Votes 2:1 for Lüscher. (Would have been 3:1 with my vote, given that I will get to the Schalanksy anyway, because of her win.. Probably during German Literature Month in November. We can buddy read then , if you like, Penelope.
