Question 7 in the Reading Guide ties in with something that came up in the poll on the question about couples dealing with ex-lovers.

What do you think lies ahead for Nerezza and Ben?

I do see some trouble ahead with the return of AR, but I think they will make it with the help of their friends which hopefully will lead to the defeat of the League. I think Ben accepts that Nerezza had a life before him. We know he is worried about not having experience, but I think their relationship will build and grow strong. Unlike Sandy and Bet, Ben has the support of his family and I think that will help.

t's a very good point about the support of Beverston and even it seems Barbara Beverston. Also Nerezza, like Mélanie, has a cover for her past, which makes it easier for her than for Bet.

All the couples are very supportive of each other, so I think Ben and Nereus will make a success of their marriage. And the support of Ben’s parents go along way in helping Nerezza be accepted into Society.

The Beverstons' support will make a huge difference. With that and Nerezza has a cover story, they won't have issues being accepted. And as you say they have a very supportive circle. Not just the core group but also the younger couples in the set - Kit and Sofia and Sandy and Bet. I liked the sense in CARFAX INTRIGUE that the younger couples have formed their own circle.
