Please switch the book to Catherine #4

#4 this is for the last book in the series, so I copied the description of https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

I especially appreciated the way you added on the red German entry #1 & 2# - super
It should also be added here:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
on my profile page I added the cover, what we see there is only the book without the cover ;-)
The year that edition came out was also in 1964 (date is missing)
... and of course the text is in the wrong language ! It should be in German.
Here it is:

I have seen that it looks great for the entries for book 7 :-)
I have a go at the entries for book 2 - I am leaving book 1 out.. too much at the moment to correct...
if you feel like it, I have added more covers on my private page.
thanks already for having a look at it whenever you feel like it.

Will check the covers on your private page later today.

excellent, I am so delighted the way you add all the correct information. I will wait now until you were able to add the covers, before I come with more (if that is fine with you ;-) I am going to add a bit more of the Book 1 & 2 Catherine edition. These books sold so well also in Germany.
Have a nice day.

pity we have no smiley here ;-) truly great work and it looks just rewarding to see the correct covers.
I deleted the other, it was a private photo which I had uploaded before I knew how to share the correct photos here.
let me know if it is okay that I bring some more.
... and amazing: The entries for book 1 look perfect. I would love to get the Chinese edition in there too. But that will be difficult to find again all the details.

A few tips:
- For the translator you have to add a new author and then you can add Translator as role.
- ASIN is only used for Kindle and Audible books, we don't use the ASIN resellers give to books.

have Illustrations or is the cover done by Jef de Wulf?

about the ASIN, I thought it was an old version of the ISBN
No, Jef de Wulf was a well-known Illustrator but he created only the cover. You may have seen his work also on the Angélique books and many others.

I see a double entry for: Royal Mistress Catherine #2
link: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
there is exactly the same entry with a photo, for the cover which you added yesterday correctly.
I did not notice this yesterday, I was concentrated on the missing cover.
I have to tell you that of course there is another edition, with the same cover, except the Publicity for the book is written larger.
I would delete that entry - or add the cover I am uploading now. then the problem is solved.

I will delete one version.

...And my hair stands up again while looking what happened to the three Finnish Covers there at the Catherine # 2 !!!
1. First entry for Catherine; Catherine ja herttua (Catherine #2) would be fine, except the ISBN 9789513047009 is missing!
this is important to know because further down that title pops up again - this time without the cover, but with the ISBN which was missing above ! This book has to be either deleted and adding the ISBN where the cover above is.
#3 The very last entry with the title: Catherine, rakkani # 2 is actually book # 4 !!!
To make it worse, they added the ISBN for book #1
here the link to that website where this is proven https://kirjat.ollinonni.fi/kirja/cat...
and the ISBN they give there for that book leads to nowhere.
If you agree, I am going to add now Catherine Rakkanni # 4 where it belongs to. But you will have to delete it ... it is the last in the line.

I was now looking at the #5
Someone had added it on Catherine #5 and with the wrong summary - yet the ISBN 9513047024 is correct there, but it needs to be added to Catherine #4 (I found it on google)
... and I was able to find a photo with the Finnish text for book 4: here it is:
Menetettyään rakastettunsa Arnaudin Catherine elää vain kastolleen, Houkutellak seen perivibollisensa ansaan ban beittäytyy elämänsä vaarallisimpaan seikkailuun, käyttäen naisellisia aseitaan taita vammin ja uskalletummin kuin koskaan ennen...
I have an excellent translator ;-)

Moved both Rakkaani books to book 4, added the description and removed the wrong ISBN. But kept both of them because of the different page numbering and publishing year.

I see you have been already busy ;-)
You were right to add both of the covers to books #4. I am pretty sure Finland did re-publish the books again and again. I have not found so far proof for that, but considering that the seventh adventure was originally only published in France in 1979, I agree with you. Usually, Publishers used the same covers all over again - and little detail, Turkey used the same covers as Finland ;-)
I do not know if I told you that, but I have ALL of the Catherine covers (except those which I could not find in the last 14 years...) exception: the Russian covers. They did re-publish the books so many times that I admit lost patience to collect them all...
p.s you may have seen that I uploaded more photos on my private Profile and I opened a new thread yesterday about moving the American book called "Belle Catherine" which is definitely in the wrong place ! the talk is about this one here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Have a nice day,
Linda

That is a lot of books :)
I just noticed you translated book 7, did you translate any of the other books?

...and most funny, I came into contact with the man who translated two of the Icelandic editions. they never translated the seventh... who knows what will happen now...
Yes I know a lot of books. The books were a super success all over the world, yet when the author changed the publisher in France, some of the foreign connections were lost. For that reason it took 43 years until that seventh book was finally translated. You can imagine how especially the older Readers are now over the moon.
... just seen that Belle Catherine has been moved to the correct place, that is Catherine #1 ;-)

Menetettyään rakastettunsa Arnaudin Catherine elää vain kostolleen. Houkutellakseen perivihollisensa ansaan hän heittäytyy elämänsä vaarallisimp..."
Hi Camilla,
I realized that you must speak Finnish. So my question to you, can I use Google talk or DeepL to translate from the original French text? You see, I have all the missing Covers for the Finnish Catherine entries.
Looking forward to your feedback,
Best to you

...and most funny, I came into contact with the man who trans..."
Hi Lieke,
is it okay if I ask you to add or delete more of the wrong entries about the Catherine books? They are familiar to you now.
About the series: Book #1 all seems well at the moment.
and the same goes for #7 :-)
for #3 there was only one Polish cover missing and now the book entry is gone !
#4 #5 #6 I will check them.
Let me know if it is okay that I contacted you, otherwise I will open for each a new Thread. I do not know all the rules yet
Best Linda

You can put everything under this topic and I will look at it, I want to have everything correct now too :).
We can make a new edition for the missing polish cover.
Edit: Do you know anything about the other series by Juliette? I'm looking at the Marianne series and that doesn't look right. There are 7 books in English, but I can only find 6 in French...

yes Lieke, I can also support wirh the Marianne series or any other of Juliette ;-)
I saw that someone must have deleted the entry for that Polish #3 book where I asked to add the green cover. that amused me... because in the meantime I found a better photo and the correct year.
I try to find the Isbn for the cover with the two actors . will not be easy,. that Croatian collection frim 1969-1985 used photos from th Catherine movie 1968 ( terrible film by the way)
until later..

The English did the same... first six then seven..it will be fun when we get to to Italians...I already shared some of them.

here is a link to this German book without a cover, which has to be deleted !
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
It is exactly the same as here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
You can trust me ;-)
same book, same name, same Publisher "Deutscher Bücherbund 1964, except someone wrote 638 pages and someone 639.
The book to be deleted, is blue and the other is also blue, except it is a bad photo...
I hope they allow you to exchange the cover which you find on my profile page. Its the yellow one.

https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
Believe me, someone who did not understand these books as me added the word: Library binding. That was wrong! It is the same book without the cover. And the cover... is the yellow one in my private page.
One of them has to go. Just because it says : pages 638 and at the other 639 does not mean they are diverse books. Why do I know that? I had these books all at home.
link to show I am right: https://www.booklooker.de/B%C3%BCcher...
second link: Book without cover which someone wrote: Library binding.. no way...
https://www.booklooker.de/B%C3%BCcher...
I know I repeat myself, but I know almost 99% about these books, starting with the French, English, German and Italian.
Thank you so much for correcting all the mistakes which are everywhere about these books.
Until later... Linda

But I'll look into it next week :)

Best as ever.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Except, please save the ISBN and add it where the entry is already at the series #1 - 2, (with Vanessa Redgrave on the cover) so no one will upload that one again, because the ISBN is missing.
here :
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

here the link where it is https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
It is already in the correct series #1-2 here https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
yet I would move it to the other one's because this seems to be a book where that cover was re-published again and again... and you have a ISBN
here the proof Online: https://www.zvab.com/buch-suchen/tite...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
1. the summary is in French on both entries.
2. no cover - but since I know that they used the same cover from 1965 I have for that entry an alternative ;-) I will upload it on my private page.
The books were first published in 1965 and then again in 1979. On all the Finnish websites I found that news. Also, we have now the name for the translator: it is Lea Karvonen

A word to Amazon, even if they would frown to me, there are loads of mistakes about the entries of the Catherine books! An example: how can the book cover from the 1969 movie Catherine il suffit d'un amour be a book from 1965? ;-)
To you, thanks for moving them where they belong. I tried to copy the text from the reverse side of the Finnish book, but I was out of luck. Works not all the time... but then, maybe there are Librarians from Finland here?

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
And this edition:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Same for this one: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

#36 the first one is a simple paperback, none of them have illustration. And I am in contact with someone in England who will find out for me who the other Illustrators are. For some of the English hardcovers I already know the names. But I thought I stick first with the books...
#36/2 about Zlaté rúono, that is a good question. The answer is this: what you see is the cover and when we take that away the book itself has a drawing. Here for you to see :
https://www.catherinedemontsalvy.ch/E...
By the way, now there is only one country missing, and then I have been able to add from each Country some covers ;-)
I was half blind yesterday, but at the end I won, even though I do not speak Russian...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
They added it under the name "Catherine im Sturm". To make the decision easy, there is no ISBN there ;-)
1. Catherine im Sturm would belong to #6 (though for the German readers this was book

https://www.eurobuch.com/buch/isbn/34...
It even has the same year, same name of the Publisher !
and here is the link to show that I am right ;-)
https://www.eurobuch.com/buch/isbn/34...
I admit it begins to frustrate me how sloppy people work ! And on top of that, how wrong some entries at Amazon, Abebooks and so on are...

#41 has the same link twice but not to the book on GR
Some people want is done quick and don't care if its right...
Unfortunately second hand books on Amazon are not very reliable for information.

and yes, second books entry are not always reliable. That's where I come into the game because I know so much of these books.
Do you know if all 7 books were translated in Holland? Never found the information.
I will soon have a go for the Marianne's.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
I found a different ISBN on the Dutch library site.

https://www.booksinbelgium.be/nl/b/be...
...and here is another link to that isbn
https://www.booksinbelgium.be/nl/b/be...
and I found a PDF file where it is confirmed that Marianne Minier did translate the book.
Now I am curious to which book does that isbn lead you?

https://opc-kb.oclc.org/DB=1/CMD?&...
but that is with the ISBN 9023502558.
I added the translator from there before I saw the different ISBN :)

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Same for this one: https://www.goodreads.com/book/..."
#37 I am sorry I missed to answer this one. Yes you are right, it has to be moved to book#1 - it has also the number 1 on the cover.
Turkey did only publish the first two books - but they re-issued them once or twice. Do not ask me how it took me to find that all out years ago ;-)
https://www.catherinedemontsalvy.ch/E...
but the other one is correct.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5..."
Answer to #38
no, that is a mistake, what is written there, is the name of Juliette in Lithuania. So far no name found for the translator in that language.
The second question for #38, yes that is the correct translator
see here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
it belongs here: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
2. It is not book #7 - it is book #4
3. The year this edition was published is 1975 and by Bertelsmann Verlag
4. The summary is also in the wrong language:
here the text:
