i've recently gotten really into playlists of medieval/celtic/dark fantasy music, and i'd like to find some books to go along with that. maybe something with witches and faeries? or something with d&d vibes if u know of any. i'm thinking of a septimus heap type of thing? i tend to gravitate towards ya but if you have any other suggestions i'm open to that. can be as obscure or well-known as you like, i haven't read many of the genre recently.

For high fantasy, I recommend:
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce. If you're fine with modern fantasy, you might like:
Un Lun Dun by China Miéville
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.

McKillip (e.g. Riddle-Master, The Bards of Bone Plain).
