I read this when I was a kid, maybe 2006-2009. The boy breaks his arm? He has a crush on the girl next door who sunbathes on an inflatable mattress in the pool. He learns to stand up to his friends bullying him and punches one of them in the face.

And guys who took dance lessons — me being the only one Neal could find in the whole school — guys who danced were twinkle toes fairies.

Doug told us that every day, around noon. Tiffany wore nothing but a hot-pink bikini and stretched out on an air mattress in her pool.

We got up on our knees so we could see into Tiffany Williams's pool. She had undone the strap to the top of her hot-pink bikini. She was lying on her stomach, with nothing showing but bare skin and her bikini bottom.

We turned around. Tiffany was facing the other direction. Denny drew back the basketball and chunked it toward the pool.

Our hopes soared as it flew through the air. Our eyes grew wide when it hit the water, not two feet from that yellow bikini. We gasped as the cold water splashed across Tiffany's bare, dry back.

Tiffany hadn't moved a muscle. She still lay flat on her stomach. The only movement was the little ripples that scampered across the surface of the pool, forming circles around her air mattress.
