Stunning book about an Eritrean woman reconnecting to her birth family and nation. I got to discover Eritrea with Hannah Pool-a country I knew nothing about. It was interesting to see the author's struggle with managing her emotional journey of finding and meeting her birth family. It was also a beautiful way to see a country, through the eyes of someone so closely tied to a culture, yet who was discovering everything as new for the first time. It was a beautiful, heartwarming story that provides invaluable insights into the personal impact of the adoption process and the Eritrean culture.
