I finished the first 11 Chapters so far! So far it's quite dense world-building and I'm still trying to figure out what exactly is going on

I totally get what you're talking about. That's exactly why I'm rereading it before starting the 4th book.
I'm also a bit late with starting, finished chapter 10 today.
So far so good, actually it's even better than I remember.
