Michele | 10 comments Within a couple year's after Marie Kondo's book receiving great attention for an organization method that sparks joy, a counter concept book was written about why to NOT throw stuff away. Pretty sure the author was male and had a humorous, thrifty and practical purpose for writing the book. I delayed buying it as a gift and typed the title onto a wish-gift-list I keep on my PC desktop. Later, PC crashed and list vanished. Does anyone know the name of the book? Thanks.

Michele, that's a good start, but we need more book details in the header/ topic title (top of the page). We have thousands of requests, so threads with vague headers are closed.

You can copy and paste from what you've already written. Click the small "edit" link after the header. (This only works on the full Desktop website - not the Mobile website or app.)

Around what year did you read this book?

Michele | 10 comments The book explains why people should save stuff - you can live with thrift, fix things with parts in the junk drawer or garage, etc ... and avoid the throw away culture. It was more serious than humor. Heard him interviewed between 2018-2020.

Molly | 117 comments This one is written by a female author, but it’s definitely the opposite of Marie Kondo! ;) Could this be it?

Michele | 10 comments Thank you! The reviews on GoodReads makes it sound very similar. Could be a substitute gift for my son, where I know it will be a bathroom or table book. (Sh*t was not in the chapter names of other book, and small kids visit his house.)
