Hey guys! I'm at 50% and I'm enjoying this more than I thought! I've seen a lot of really negative reviews, but it's not that bad. It's not five-star material, but I don't hate it.

(view spoiler)[I don't love the characters. Ama's personality is feminist, which gets a little repetitive. Luca can't do anything himself and needs Ama to save him for everything. I just want Luca to do ONE thing himself, and then he'll be a better character. (hide spoiler)]

so sorry for not being active on this BR!!!!

I'm a little ways past 70% and I'll be struggling through the last chapters today.
so far: Not really a spoiler but tagged it just in case

(view spoiler)[ the romance is not doing it for me tbh, maybe something will come up in these few chapters that will change my mind but for now bleh

The characters are so sad. I get it Ama likes to stand her ground, she likes to stand up for what she believes in. Ama is a strong independent woman. I GET IT. Why was it necessary to say it in different ways.
And Luca honey....(he's a bit more likeable than Ama)

I just finished. This was a hot mess! Even though I couldn't stand this book, I will now take this time to try to make you read Sarah Henning's other book, Sea Witch. It's much better, I promise!

OMG so behind. Went out of town and got so behind. I read up until he gets kidnapped. So early on. You are making me not want to finish it!
