Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Each day we will be reading by chapters or page numbers. Page numbers are an approximation based on the hardcover or paperback that is the default on Goodreads. The suggested Buddy Read discussion schedule is as follows:

I started it and read the first 6 chapters. I could've read the rest of today's chapters but I want to read a bit Legendborn and finish a movie I started, and I won't have time to do it all.

It's super easy to read, which makes sense because by the writing it can be seen that it's meant for a younger audience. So far I don't have anything else to say, I'm intrigued about the Lorien powers.

It feels like something for teens. I feel like this is something I would've read and liked when I had 14, 15.

😂 I'm 27 so I also had more time to read more books (at least in theory, because I don't know how much you've read) and to make like.. levels (?) of how the writing is chill or more serious.

It is super easy to read. Yes agree it seems to be for younger age, but interesting premise for the story.

Hey, have you started it?

I just finished chapter 9, maybe I'll read more later or maybe I'll try to make some progress on Legendborn.

I'm curious about Bernie Kosar, like there has to be a specific reason for his appearance.

Edit: I find it interesting that the author put himself as one of the Elders :D

I have moved from chapter 9, however I don't know how much 😅 I started listening to it before my nap.. and obviously I fell asleep, and after that I decided to make my nap go into sleep.

So I picked the book up.. somehow, and I'm trying to finish it. I mean the idea is interesting but I'm not really interested in the story. Just the way it was written for a younger audience doesn't do anything for me.

15 year olds saying that they love each other.. yeah, I'm just.. not believing it.. (I may or may not be bitchy about this, but whenever I see like super young people saying they are in love, like really in love.. I just can't)


I finished the book. Didn't care for it, just wanted to be over with it. I wasn't the targeted audience.
