Has anyone else ever been told that a book is good, then you read it yourself and it wasn't?

Lindy Pasco Yeah, I'm currently reading Angelfall, someone suggested it, so I gave it a try, I'm about halfway through the book, and at this stage I'm just not into it, who knows, maybe it gets better, but I don't know if I will be able to finish it....

Have you read it?

Denise Kawaii Yes. And I hate it when that happens. Luckily, not very often.

Everyone has different tastes though, and so I just chalk it up to that. There is a book for every reader, and a reader for every book.

Dante Gallo The Wasp Factory, The Kite Runner, 1984 and The Great Gatsby.

They're books that are hailed as 'classics'; they're all books that I was bored shitless reading...
