To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc. What makes this a series?

A shared universe, all the main characters live in the same place (or very near to each other), they all fight the same enemy.... And all this happens as a storyline through the books. That is: you have to read all the books in order to follow the plot.
