Hello Everyone. Here's hoping you like my newest book, and I'm looking forward to answering any questions you might have about The Crucifixion Experiments. I don't mean this really as criticism, more of an observation. I'm up to the second killing and, maybe because I'm just very early in the story or I've had too much Hannibal Lecter and Se7en influencing me, but the notes at the crime scenes don't feel like what the killings led me to expect. They kinda feel more like a detailed email an intelligent criminal would send to the press than a note tacked up at a murder scene. It may just be me, Hollywood leading me to expect more pizzazz and less factoid. But there's 130 pages to go and I still don't know anything about the killer, so I guess I shall see.
Okay, Ima stop rambling now and get back to reading.

So I really enjoyed it. Definitely reminded me of stuff like Silence of the Lambs and Se7en, a murder mystery/thriller where the horror elements were in the nature of the murders.

Loved this book. Just stopping by to show you some support, Gord. Congrats on the release.
Great read! I love the characters and the detective was so fun and old school, my favorite! The murders were perfectly gruesome and the story kept me interested and entertained so I didn’t want to put it down. I will be looking forward to checking out more of your books!

A good friend of mine had sent me a link to some actual experiments that scientists and doctors in the past has performed to see if they could duplicate the crucifixion of Christ exactly as it is written in the bible. It just seemed like a cool idea to have a modern day serial killer doing similar things. I wrote a much more detailed explanation at the end of the book that readers can have a look at if they are interested. And hopefully they are!

I have already started another serial killer case for Jake Mercer, but you'll have to wait a little while on that one - lol!

Hi Lisa, thanks for reaching out. I answered the first part of you question if you scroll up a few responses and have a read, but you second question is an interesting one. I have several friends who are policemen and policewomen, but none that are detectives. I did reach for some basic information but to be honest, most of the research done for the book I did myself. I bought a great non-fiction book on Criminal Profiling and also one on Crime Scene Investigations. I took nearly all the info I needed out of those text books, and whatever I couldn't find I eventually made up. As a writer I do like to do a fair amount of research before starting a new book, and in a perfect world I could have sat down with a real homicide detective and a real criminal profiler but I didn't have the contacts. I'm sure I didn't get it all right, but I think I did a pretty decent job of at least TRYING to get it right. Hope you enjoy the book. Take care.
