jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Will you guys want to read a book of the month for June, or any other month? If so, please tell us what you want to read and I will have a poll up by Monday or Tuesday.

message 2: by Alexandra (new)

Alexandra (theadventuresofbeingalex) | 3 comments I’d be down. Are there any big new releases coming out in June or coming out in may for June? I haven’t been keeping up but I’m not picky!

I’m reading a couple books right now. I don’t know if I will be able to participate in June, but I might in July! Sorry everyone, but thank you Jillian for running the BOTMs!

message 4: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) I am not great at keeping up with BOTMs but I was planning on reading Hunger Games soon so I will make that an option. @Alexandra, I will definitely look at some new releases!

message 5: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) I have two books as of now, so please, I need more suggestions! Hoping to get a poll up by Monday or Tuesday!

I know Six of Crows is pretty big now. I’m reading it, and most likely will be into June, so that’s an option if you’d like!

message 7: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Ok, SoC being added

message 8: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sasha_reads_alot) | 1 comments I’m totally down for a BOTM and i’m very flexible with what we read! Just let me know if we pick something and I’ll totally participate! :)

same except I mostly won't participate because I read a lot of different books then the current hype!

message 11: by meg (new)

meg (meaghanslibrary) i’m 100% interested! i know shadow and bone and six of crows are very popular right now because of the show so those could be options :)

message 12: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Okay so I still only have three books:
The Other Black Girl
Hunger Games
Six of Crows

Please shoot me some other suggestions if you want or we can choose from these three to start!

I say SoC just because I don’t usually like reading multiple books at a time, but I have to read it for school.

message 14: by frannie (new)

frannie Since June is pride month, maybe a book with an MC who is part of LGBT?

message 15: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Ooh, wonderful idea! Maybe something like They Both Die in the End or Red, White, and Royal Blue? I haven't read a ton of those books but that is a great idea!

message 16: by Emary, Head MOD (new)

Emary | 769 comments Mod
Ooh, I got They Both Die in the End from a library thing, and it’s sitting in my locker at school! And I heard Red, White, and Royal Blue is good.

message 17: by frannie (new)

frannie I've heard Cemetery Boys is a good book too!

message 18: by Alexandra (new)

Alexandra (theadventuresofbeingalex) | 3 comments Also Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall is super cute if you’re looking for lgbtq. I’ve read red, white & royal blue but SoC is on my immediate tbr and they both die in the end has been all over my friends tbrs! Do we have a specific route we’re for sure taking, like pride month vs fantasy vs fiction?

message 19: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) I was kind of just seeing what people wanted to read for this month considering it was the first month doing it, then assigning a certain theme or genre in July.

message 20: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) The poll is up! The options are a little limited but the numbers will increase next month and months after

message 21: by Karolina (new)

Karolina all the suggestions sound awesome and I can't wait! but could someone tell me how to get to the poll please (I'm on mobile, do I have to go on desktop?)

message 22: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) I will get a link for you just give me a sec

message 24: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Okay, everyone, it's looking as of right now that you guys want to read Red, White, and Royal Blue? So far it has the most votes but SoC is only one vote of short of a tie. I think we should finalize our BOTM choice tomorrow and give some people a chance to order books if need be.

message 25: by Emary, Head MOD (new)

Emary | 769 comments Mod
How bout you send out a new poll an eliminate a few choices?

message 26: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Okay! I will narrow it down to the top three

message 27: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) It appears Red, White, and Royal Blue ran away with the win in both polls.

message 28: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:

Here is the genre poll for July BOTM. I know we just started June BOTM, but I just want to think ahead. Please post comments if you have suggestions!

message 32: by Emary, Head MOD (new)

Emary | 769 comments Mod
I only really read YA, so any sub genre of YA is good for me! I generally read mostly YA Fantasy, but I’d like to read in a broader range.

message 33: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Any book requests for July BOTM? Our genre is fantasy.

message 34: by Emary, Head MOD (new)

Emary | 769 comments Mod
Hmmm I don’t know if I will be able to participate in the July BOTM because I will be reading The Hate U Give and editing a ton. Plus vacation. Sorry!

message 35: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) That's alright!

message 36: by meg (new)

meg (meaghanslibrary) these are some fantasy books i’ve been wanting to read :
dance of thieves
red queen
the gilded ones
to kill a kingdom
the kiss of deception
daughter of the pirate king
three dark crowns
renegades
we hunt the flame

message 37: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Three Dark Crowns is soooo gooood!!! If we don't have it as BOTM, read it anyway!
But, thank you, those are all great suggestions!

message 38: by Emary, Head MOD (new)

Emary | 769 comments Mod
Yes, those are all great suggestions! You should definitely read them all!!! They’re so good!!!! (Well, the ones I’ve read :))

message 39: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Voting for the July BOTM ends on the 27th! Vote here:

message 40: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Okay, romance won for the genre for August. Any suggestions? I don't know if it has to be straight up romance, but it could be like a sci-fi with themes of romance.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

The selection??

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

The fault in our stars could work

message 43: by Emary, Head MOD (new)

Emary | 769 comments Mod
Hmm TFIOS would be good.

message 44: by Emary, Head MOD (new)

Emary | 769 comments Mod
To All the Boys I Loved Before?

message 45: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) Yes, I sent out a poll a few weeks ago and the Selection won.

message 46: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) September draws near, my good friends! Any genre/book suggestions?

message 47: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) | 111 comments Hmmmmmm something cozy? Maybe? Or a good fantasy!

message 48: by jillian ౨ৎ (new)

jillian ౨ৎ (jilluminatixxxv) So maybe a classic of some sorts? Fantasy is always good.

message 49: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) | 111 comments I’d be down for a classic!!

message 50: by Nanzee (new)

Nanzee (nanzee_jay) I heard the genre was dystopian?
May I suggest Doon
