Someone Has Fouled Up a Project of Mine

For roughly 8 years now, I've been going through the long list of books that were left without a title and/or author and correcting them (rescuing it used to be called) when I could. I discovered while doing this that many books were specifically attributed to 'Unknown Author' on the cover, especially books published by Forgotten Books, Public Domain Books and a few others. Because the author listing 'Unknown' is so huge (currently almost 165,000), I hit on the idea of creating an author listing called 'Unknown Author' for books with that or 'Unknown' as the given author name and added an explanation of what books the author listing was for. I started moving books that had that as the author name into the new listing. I did this with the intent of reducing the huge number of books needlessly, I felt, in the usual 'Unknown' author list. These reprint publishers have reprinted thousands of books and they make up a large percentage of books lumped in 'Unknown' listing.
Today I came across one of these books while looking for something else and changed the author to 'Unknown Author'. When the edit completed, I saw the name was now spelled 'unknown author' in lower case. I clicked to the author page and found all the books I had put there (over a hundred) had been removed and the few remaining entries were titled 'unknown book', nothing else.

The listing was still as I created it back on May 11, when I added a book to it.

If this was done by a Super Librarian, fine, I'll get over it, though a brief note about it would have been nice. However, if this was just another simple librarian (like myself) undoing my work, I'd like for it to be undone.

It appears to be the "goodreads mass editor" that has created/edited many of those book records. I would write to Support about it and see what they say.

I tried to contact Support using the link below. It says "Looks like you don’t have access to create a case. Ask your community manager for access."
