SOLVED. Short Story - Dementia, fancy car

I am hunting for a short story I read in my school days. The jest of it is - There is a small village/town(want to say English, could be American) with economic stagnation/difficulties. A rich old man who visits the place and orders a fancy car(want to say Rolls-Royce). This encourages the car dealer to order jewelry and the jeweler extra food and so on and so forth, starting a new trade boom that allows the town/village to see an economic upturn. The twist is he has Dementia and could not afford the car. However he has kicked off the trade cycle inadvertently helping the place. Do you by any chance know about the title/author of this short story ? Appreciate your help.
