Kirk | 5 comments i read a few chapters of a book, i dont remember the name or author, however i remember certain distinctive things about the writing style, each chapter had a small intro, in which it gave a name of a character who died, and how they died, then the chapter proceeded with the story and during that chapter the person named died, i would really like to read the whole series

you could try checking the lists those are on and the "similar books" links and see if anything looks familiar?

Judy | 50 comments It sort of sounds like Prince on the Run, but it's been a while since I've read it, so I could be wrong. Good luck!

Kirk, around what year did you read this book?

Is this book for adults or teens?

Can you tell us more about "mercenary company running and fighting for survival"? Who's the main character?

Is this a fantasy world - and are there fantasy creatures (e.g., dragons, wizards)?

Kirk | 5 comments it is a fantasy world, it is very gory, if i remembered any characters id be able to look it up myself probably, as i said it has a very distinctive intro to each chapter explaining a bit about one character and how they died, not for children, medieval style i believe i read it around 2017 but uncertain, it was one of those lying around books at someones that i picked up read a few chapters went oh i have to read this, then forgot everything.
