Um kind of? I can't keep the various groups straight. There are spellwalkers, celestials, spectors, alchemists, blood mages or something. It's too many. But the ending got better

The time travel is a bit confusing and I think there are multiple kinds of phoenixes but I'm not sure (hide spoiler)]

The ending was interesting and made more sense to me. I'll probably reread the 1st and 2nd book before the 3rd comes out (hide spoiler)]
