Charity | 2 comments I think the title has something to do with Armorer/Armourer. I think the father of the family might be an armorer.

A children's book (but not a simple chapter book) about a girl who goes to live with a new family, they have at least four kids. She eventually creates a good relationship with one of the older brothers. The girl's age range is from 7-13 I think.

Set in England I think during the time of Queen Elizabeth I. The Queen comes for a visit near the town/city they are in later on in the book and the family goes to watch. Longbows are mentioned.

There is a Christmas scene in it where the girl is really sad to be living with her new family (can’t remember why she does go live with them) and she struggles with that even though everyone is nice.

Read it in 2012 in English in Australia.

The cover of the book was either purple or blue, like a dark lavender or periwinkle. There might have been an anvil on the cover?
