For our 2021 group reads, we will continue in the same vein with different choices each month. For June it will be A Beach Read. Your mod team have chosen two books each, therefore members will have four to choose from when you vote in the poll. (Once again, all Aussie authors)

Our choices are:

Flying the Nest by Rachael Johns Flying the Nest by Rachael Johns

They say a change is as good as a holiday...but what if you don't want either?

Is her family's happiness more important than her own?

The first time Ashling Wood realises her marriage is on the rocks is when her husband, Adrian, suggests they try nest parenting. Heartbroken, Ash suddenly finds herself living a double life - one week with her children, the next cohabiting with her happily single sister-in-law. Her friends think the modern custody solution is an exciting opportunity for her to spread her wings, but all Ash wants is her family back together.

Last Chance Cafe by Liz Byrski Last Chance Cafe by Liz Byrski

Margot detests shopping malls. Any distraction is welcome, and the woman who has chained herself to the escalator, shouting about the perils of consumerism, is certainly that. She recognises Dot immediately - from their time campaigning for women's rights, and further back still, to the heyday of the Sydney Push when Margot married Laurence...

Three Gold Coins by Josephine Moon Three Gold Coins by Josephine Moon

One coin for love, one for marriage, one to return to Rome.

Two days ago, Lara Foxleigh tossed three gold euros into the Trevi Fountain. Now, she is caring for a cranky old man and living in a picturesque villa, ...half a world away from her home and the concerns of her loving family.

Champagne for Breakfast by Maggie Christensen Champagne for Breakfast by Maggie Christensen

Rosa Taylor is celebrating her fiftieth birthday with champagne. By the river. On her own.

After finishing her six-year long affair with her boss, Rosa is desperate to avoid him in the workplace and determined to forge a new life for herself.
