Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments This author is another one where I'm not certain about how best to approach him and any necessary combines.

The author seems to publish as one of three variants of his name:
R. Joseph
Rhawn Joseph
R. Gabriel Joseph
and possibly
Rhawn Gabriel Joseph

Many books have no name on the cover at all, and Amazon is also no help here. His most recent work has no name on the cover at all, but does credit all three names on the title page. For the majority with no cover name and where I haven't found an image of the title page either, I'm identifying them definitively as his by the use of his publishing names (Cosmology Science Publishers and University Pr) where that is on the record.

NB - for other librarians later - University Pr is correct, as apparently it was proximate to the standard cataloguer abbreviation for "Press".

Renske | 12220 comments The easiest solution would be using the full name. If he credits all variations on the title page, some common reasons to keep names separate do not really apply here I would think. (It's not a case of different names for different genres/subjects or different names for different phases of his writing career.)
By what you describe figuring out the primary author for every work is either a lot of work or just impossible and personally I wouldn't find that worth the effort.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments I've been continuing to mull on this. I think my reservation on using the "full" version, is that none of the books show that actual form on the cover, only on the title page. That said, I remain inclined towards using the most complete version because it's exactly that, and the title pages do indicate that he uses that... I'll leave it another 24 hours, and if no one objects, I'll do the work towards making Rhawn Gabriel Joseph the version.

Sandra | 31397 comments I endorse the use of the full name as well.
