Getting to this one tonight. I'm looking forward to it. I'm surprised by how much I love Andrew's shorter books. Just as good as the longer ones.

I'm a bit behind but reading now. I agree, the shorter ones work just as well. The longer ones sometimes have wayyyy too much detail.

Up to chapter 3 (view spoiler)[ This is an interesting thing to do, a girl's group, but I do think it will help them all with their issues. I think Misty definitely has some issues and it's unfortunate her parents aren't better at being co-parents and such. (hide spoiler)]

Up to the epilogue (view spoiler)[ Even in that short amount of time, she had a bit of an adventure. The book was getting a bit boring but her story livened it up some. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I thought it was a very unique approach. Like group therapy, but so much more private. I think it would be difficult for teens since they are already so self-conscious as it is. Misty, Star, and Jade don't seem bothered by it, but Cathy is so shy. (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, I can't wait to see Cathy's story because of how she acted in this one.

(view spoiler)[ I think a big part of it was wanting attention from/revenge on her parents. They were so bitter that she kind of wanted to show that they couldn't use her to hurt each other, even though they continued. (hide spoiler)]

Mothers who don't want to get old and fathers who seek younger girlfriends. I feel like she needed that rebellion at the end just to make her story different. (hide spoiler)]

I guess it isn't too different from group therapy but I would hate to have to share with strangers. By the end, it seemed that Cathy is the only one who might have trouble. (hide spoiler)]
