Maple (maplerie) | 307 comments I'm sure you've all heard that Go Set a Watchman is going to be Harper Lee's sequel To Kill a Mockingbird; 55 years after her first and only book was published.

What are your thoughts on this long awaited sequel?

I have not yet read TKAM, but it is on the list for one of my reading challenges. I am looking forward to reading it. I am intrigued and skeptical of this newest book, but kind of excited that she is releasing the new book, even thought here seems to be a lot of rumors and questionable ideas about it.

Emily I heard about this the other day. I'll definitely check it out. I think To Kill a Mockingbird is a fantastic book, so I'm wary about whether this one will meet expectations, but I'll be reading it either way, just for curiosity's sake. :)

Anyone who hasn't heard about it yet: Go Set a Watchman

I'll read this one because I liked To Kill a Mockingbird but I'll read it with very low expectations ;)

Sarah | 186 comments I completely geeked out when I heard this the other day and read to my computer to see if I could pre-order it from chapters! lol
To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books. I love re-reading it and watching the movie every time its on.
I can't wait to read it. I really hope that its just as good as TKAM.

Antonia | 1 comments Watch out, don't be let down if it is not as good as TKAM! I loved that book, but you have to remember that Go Set a Watchman is the parent book that was rejected by the publishers who suggested that Ms. Lee write from a different point of view (Scout's) -- so Go Set was remodeled into TKAM. Here's an OpEd from the NYTimes discussing possible fall out from an inferior story. Still, I am optimistic. I think it will be a good read.http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/05/opi...

Diane Coto (fictionzeal) | 60 comments I'm finally going to read To Kill a Mockingbird this year as part of the 2015 Reading Challenge. I checked other Pulitzer Prize winners, and have only read two -- The Goldfinch (which I did not actually like at all) and Killer Angels (which I loved). It just seems funny to me that of all of the winners, I've only heard of just a few. TKAM still gets wonderful (great; awesome) reviews!

Katie (ktmac_1) TKAM is on my list this year (pulitzer prize week), so will definitely check out the sequel. Interesting article on the subject: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/04/boo...

Jody (jodybell) | 531 comments To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my absolute favourite books. I am loathe to read the sequel, to be honest.
