Robert stuck it to the BBC here, the producer wanted him to sit in a wicker chair as TOTP was a 'family show', and we couldn't subject the public to a wheelchair, could we. He refused.

The group is a veritable who's who of early 70's English music; Fred Frith (Henry Cow) on guitar and invisible violin, Andy Summers on acoustic guitar, Richard Sinclair (Hatfield And The North) on bass, Dave MacRae (a kiwi, but uk resident since 1971) on keyboards, and Nick Mason (Pink Floyd) on drums

English Settlement had not long been released nigh on 40 years ago when I did my second teaching practice in a roughish school in the south east outer suburbs of Sheffield. Echoing Duke's comment at the start, it's a shame there's many missed opportunities here due to lower noms level; Maggie Mae with John Peel on mandolin, All About Eve's 'Martha's Harbour' (either the toe-curling 1st version where they couldn't hear the first half of the song, so sat like idiots while it played, or the triumphant 2nd appearance the week after with live vocal), a Fun Boy Three appearance I recall with deliberate bad miming from Terry Hall, and others. Anyways...
