Cristina begs Stacey to not identify her as the abandoned baby’s mother but she decides to follow her training and turned her in. Your thoughts about her decision? What do you think will happen to baby and mother?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments This bothers me a little. I understand Stacey's reasoning. She is doing her duty as a cop. I'm concerned about the baby. Now that Stacey identified Cristina, if another family adopts him, does it protect him from the people holding his mother's indenture contract?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was a little lost on this situation. Immigration Enforcement, along with Stacey and Dawson, made arrests. They got the factory owners for the murder of Andrei and for the slave labor. I'm assuming the indenture contracts would be voided at that time. Are they even legal? I don't know how the UK handles illegal immigrants. If they give evidence/testimony against the factory owners, could they possibly stay in the country? Could Cristina then get her child back? I would have liked to have some follow-up on this.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) I think Stacey did the only thing she could. She is an officer of the law and it isn't her decision what should happen in this situation ever though it is a heart wrenching one. The whole aspect of this human trafficking really disturbed me as I know it is happening all over the world for real and it really is the worst of humanity.

Lisa, I share your perspective. It all made me feel hopeless.

Sharon, it’s a valid concern about the child. They’d have to shield the adopting family.

Robin, the indenture contracts were illegal so they’re not enforceable but not everyone involved was necessarily locked up. I have no idea what happens to those who were brought to the UK illegally. I can’t believe they’re as harsh as that of the US.

Even though I believe Stacey did the only thing she could do (she opted to do what she thought Kim would do), it broke my heart for Cristina.
