SOLVED. YA set 1920s young woman solves mysteries, Houdini? [s]

Read this in the late 1980s-early 1990s. I feel like "My name is" was part of the title? Main character is a young woman who happens to solve mysteries. Possibly set in London. Set in the early 1900s. I think she meets Houdini. The villain is a German woman who calls the heroine "leibchen." At one point the heroine "borrows" her love interest's Model T car and chases the villain, and doesn't know to turn the headlights on. I believe it was the first in a series, or was supposed to be.
