Maliha So...I'm curious about Elide. At first I thought she was pretending to be Sorscha but her ending suggests otherwise. Now I think Elide could be the girl who started an uprising in the labour camps with an axe when she heard of Nehemia's death. I know, I know, all the slaves were slaughtered but maybe a few escaped and among them was Elide??

Lysandra - I dislike that courtesan from the novellas. She was used to hurt Celaena by Arobynn and she even flaunted it. I think she might show up in QoS.

Ansel. I don't like people who murder their loved ones to achieve selfish goals but I think Celaena could use some girlfriends for back up.

I didn't really like Manon - I hope her story doesn't take up as much as it did in HoF, unless it intertwines with Celaena's.

That scene where someone throws a sword into the lake! Who could that be and what sword was that?? Maybe one of Rowan's cadre throwing the sword of Brannon? (sorry if I got the name wrong) Or Chaol throwing away the sword that was supposed to be Aelin's but became Aedion's?

And lastly, I'm totally confused the the goddesses and mortals and powerful women. Maeve, Mora and Mab are sisters and they are witches yes? Deanna's a goddess and Mala is...? If someone could clarify this for me it'd be great!

The Book Addict I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but Elide was in a school for magic when Adarlan first attacked. She might have been captured and used in the King's sick experiments, but I hope not.

I'm almost certain the scene in that second-last chapter is Chaol throwing away the sword he used as the Captain of the Guard.

Maeve, Mora and Mab are/were Fae Queens, but Mora and Mab (to my understanding, at least) sacrificed their immortality to be with men they had fallen in love with.
Deanna is a goddess, the 'Lady of the Hunt'/'Keeper of the Moon', while Mala is the 'Goddess of the Sun'/'Lady of Light, Learning, and Fire'.

Previously, it was thought that, with the help of Maeve, Mab became Deanna when she died, but later Celaena found that it was not true. Deanna had been in existence long before that, and people had merely attributed her qualities to Mab when she died.
Hope that clears it up!

Yes that clears it up! Thank you! Hopefully I'll remember this when I read Queen of Shadows
