I remember it had something to do with a mirror in the back of a store that made an evil mirror image of whatever was shown in it - the main character was attacked by a scarab beetle pin she bought from the store and it scratched her cheek. Any ideas who wrote it or where I can find a copy??

Not a 90's book, but Tamzin Clarke v the Mummy has a scene like that.
