Everly turns out to be Maddox’s half sister. It wasn’t until that information was revealed that Gabe finally believed she hadn’t had a sexual relationship with him. Where does their relationship go from here? What worked/didn’t work about their romance?

Shelby (whiskeygirl75) | 31 comments I think that part was over stretched a bit with him not believing her. We need a kiss and make up part in this so there it was.

Lynn (ftbooklover) It just seemed like they didn't trust each other and then suddenly they did. Also, I never really felt any kind of connection between them.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I had a problem with this reveal. Honestly if you need a familial relationship to change your mind about a person's honesty what does that say about future problems. If I were Everly, I wouldn't trust Gabe so easily.

I do like the couple though so I went with the it.

I was thoroughly disgusted with Gabe continuing to believe the gossip over his growing understanding of Everly’s true nature. It was stupid and tiresome. I could understand it in the beginning but after awhile, he knew her better than those nitwits at Crawford Industries. And when he learned she’d never been to his apartment, that should have been a major clue. This was a dumb plot line and left me with lukewarm feelings about their romance.

Gabe is a smart and accomplished CEO of an aeronautics company. He should be skilled in discerning truth and lies better than this. Everly had a lot thrown at her overnight and she handled it the best of the two and that wasn’t great.

I liked them but I thought the author blundered with their romance. By the end, I was almost okay with the notion of Everly walking away.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1812 comments Gabe's behavior really puts a damper on an otherwise lovely romance. It annoyed me that he only believed Everly once this information was revealed.

I like Everly and Gabe, but he needs to do a LOT more groveling!

Months of groveling😏

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Lots and lots of groveling for Gabe. But, he did save her life, so I can cut him some slack. I was so angry with him for not even being able to consider Everly wasn’t sleeping with Mad. I thought it had to do with the intensity of their initial sexual relationship.

It would have been a great plot line when he first realized who she was. It just went too far.

Michelle | 47 comments You've all said it. Yes it all happened over couples of days but still hanging on to One single aspect? I'd have expected that fro a waman. Not that I'm saying it's right just something they make woman or YA do. For me it made him appear weak.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I thought, as an intelligent man, he should have figured out the truth after spending some time with her. Yes, he definitely needs to do some major groveling.
