SOLVED. Specific scene involving a spear, medieval and/or epic fantasy genre

Trying to remember which book this scene belongs to. Male main character is fighting an armored opponent with a spear, has them down on the ground but can’t get the tip of the spear through the armor. An ally, also male, of the MC runs up and grabs onto the end of the spear’s shaft, and their combined weight is able to break through. I was thinking it was something from Stormlight Archive (Kaladin and Rock?) given the choice of weapon, but google searches aren’t giving any matches. It may have also been in a fanwork on AO3.
