Lynn (ftbooklover) You might try a book written in verse. They are quick reads and some of them are very good. I've read The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo , which has a very deep story but reads quickly. There are lots of titles written in verse that you might like.
This is a Goodreads list of YA novels in verse https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...
And this is a Goodreads list of MG novels in verse.

That might get you started.

Rasa Ievkalne | 39 comments Personally i get out by re reading books i loved. Or if i accidentally come across a powerful book. I think it depends on what it is you like, what genre. Recommending a book that might be too heavy or too sweet, when you need action packed or emotional, will just deepen your slump. Or sometimes laying off the reading and watching a movie or tv show can reset the slump. Give yourself a break and narrow down what you are looking for in a book, what story idea excites you, then let us know and people will be able to help better. Because i could recommend a ton, but if our tastes are different, my choices will not help at all.

I agree with you on this, Rasa. I could recommend lots of books, but if they don't fit the taste of the reader, it's a waste of time.

Bláthnaid Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur, I read it it one sitting! Or Orbitijg Jupiter by Gary D.Schmidt which is fast paced and super simple language!

Heartstopper - It's a graphic novel, so really easy to read, and the story is so cute <3
