Like a lot of us, faintingviolet has missed traveling and sharing life with people. The Irish Pub Cookbook by Margaret M. Johnson and photographer Leigh Beisch gave her a way to travel without leaving home and the best soda bread she's ever made. "This is a book written for the American audience – occasionally there are ingredients listed which are common in the states (half and half) that are not common across the pond."

I'm going to an arcade full of retro cabinets and pinball machines. We go every year for our anniversary, but this year had other ideas. Flashing lights, cold beer, a pocket full of tokens- I can't wait.

That sounds really nice. I just want the other people in my house to give me a chance to miss them.

Malin (maline) | 17 comments I want to go to the cinema and sit in the dark, watching a movie surrounded by strangers, eating a big bucket of popcorn. I want to go out to a restaurant with my husband and enjoy a good meal. I want to go to Sweden to visit my Dad, who I haven't seen in person since Christmas 2019.

During the pandemic, both my passport and that of my son (which to be fair, is only valid for 2 years) have expired, so we need to get new ones, but once we do, it would be wonderful to go to the UK and visit my husband's family, and see all of our friends in various parts of the country. Gabriel is very excited by airplanes, but has no conscious memory of ever being on one. Which isn't surprising, he was only 8 months old the last time he was on a plane. Now he's 3 years old.

aww, there's nothing more magical for a little kid than flying! I have (understandably shaped by other people who actually remember) fond and fantastical memories of flying at three...
