Spring 2021 Book Read

Hello all! This book is the other book that garnered votes for our next read and we've decided to make it the April (ish) book read for our group. As always, this will be a low-key group discussion so jump on in at any point.

I'm very excited to read this book!

"Klara and the Sun, the first novel by Kazuo Ishiguro since he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, tells the story of Klara, an Artificial Friend with outstanding observational qualities, who, from her place in the store, watches carefully the behavior of those who come in to browse, and of those who pass on the street outside. She remains hopeful that a customer will soon choose her.

Fey and I have copies but I want anyone interested to have time got get a copy from the library or their bookseller. I will open up a thread with discussion questions the weekend of April 24 but no worries if you aren't ready yet -- the threads are always here!

Looking forward to reading this author. I looked him up. He has an interesting writing history :)
