Viki (wowitsvyx) | 2 comments Hi all,

Hope you can help as I’ve been searching the internet for ages to no avail.

I’m trying to locate a book I read around 2006-2008 that I borrowed from a friend. I can’t remember the title or author unfortunately. The information I can recall is below which isn’t a great deal.

The book had dual worlds and was initially set in our world (specifically somewhere in America) but then moved over to a fantasy/medieval world I believe.

The main character was a male protagonist who I believe in our world was a bank clerk/accountant and I feel he met a female companion when he was in the other world. I want to say the main character was probably aged 25-35(?). I believe they were on a journey somewhere for some sort of quest that impacted the inhabitants of the other world. At the end of the book as I remember he came back to our world.

I’m tempted to recall that it was a trilogy but it could have been a stand alone novel.

90% sure it had a cream cover when published in the UK.

If you have any ideas I’d be happy to hear them!

This reminds me of Spellsinger by Alan Dean Foster - not exactly what you describe, but similar.
