Just wanted to let you know that I'll be away next week and may not have internet access.
Please make nominations for next month's read and I will get to them when I get back on the 11th. There's so many choices to read and plenty of time to pick.
Please encourage those who haven't nominated to do so. It's great to see what others are interested in reading!!

It's exciting to see new folks nominating!! Thank you Dawn & Lady Ansel.
Who else has nominations?

I have another suggestion for a nomination, but we're only allowed one, so I will wait till next time, God willing.
Deaflower, sounds like an interesting nominationDeaflower (Dee's New Name) wrote: "I will nominate The Healing by Linda Byler"
My apologizes for missing our selection date. It's been a wild ride for me this past week. I'm excited that there were so many more nominations than usual.
Nancy, we can't use your nomination of the Brides of Big Valley since you had already nominatied this time. Maybe for June??
Marg, we haven't read books 1 and 2 of The Amish of Southern Maryland #3 as yet (#7 in the above rules). Maybe suggest #1 for us to read in June?
Our read for May is...
#4 -- An Amish Singing: Four Stories by Amy Clipston! Thank you Dawn for your nomination. 8-)

The authors exempt from nomination, since we've already selected one of their books this year, are Amanda Flower, Charlotte Hubbard, Kelly Irvin, and Sarah Price, although we may make exceptions for novella collections that include one of these authors. If you're not sure if your book is eligible for nomination, please leave a comment and one of the moderators will get back to you!
Rules:
1. Any Amish-themed novel is eligible.
2. One nomination per person.
3. If two people nominate the same book, each person's vote counts. So the book will feature twice in the list to give each vote an equal chance.
4. Nominations run until the 14th of the month, with the winner announced on the 15th.
5. The winning book is chosen using Random.org to make it completely fair.
6. Please don't nominate a book we have already read. You can see our list of previous group reads here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... or look at the group read's bookshelf here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books... (it includes the Christian group read as well).
7. Only nominate the first book in a series UNLESS we have already read #1 (see above link). In this case, #2 is then eligible for nomination!
