I am the same way, Allie. For me its not about pages read in an hour but about how long I can read for one session, so I read in smaller spurts rather than one big long spurt. Also, audiobooks and graphic novels had made a world of difference in how many books I can read!

For some reason I could never listen to audiobooks.. I find it so hard concentrating to them! But if they work for you, that's great :)

riley rue (rileyrue) | 508 comments I actually prefer to read in long spurts rather than short ones! I just feel so uncomfortable if I have to leave the story after just having gotten into it. I really like getting a big chunk of the book read, so get the feeling going. :)

The last book that I read that I just had to read in long chunks because it was so captivating was Certain Dark Things by Silvia Garcia-Moreno, which I read several months ago. I think I need more good books in my life. I'm one of those people who will finish a book even if it isn't holding my attention because I just want to finish what I started.

riley rue (rileyrue) | 508 comments Oh me too, I hate leaving books unfinished! Even if they're awful, I just try to finish it for the sake of finishing it. Yes, you do sound like you need more good books in your life! Good books really feel so quick to finish. May I recommend Flowers for Algernon to you, if you haven't read it yet? It's one of my favorite books ;) I finished that one in 2 days, so good.

I'm going to add it to my TBR :)

Hailey (haileyythereader) hi everyone! as you may or may not know i’ve been a moderator for this group for a little while now. although i enjoyed being a moderator i’m going to “retire” from the position. i’ve been insanely busy and i’m not consistently active, and i also want to give the job to someone whose gonna make the group even better! i’ll still be a part of the group but not a moderator. that’s all hope everyone is well and sorry i’ve been so inactive <33
