Dreamer | 5128 comments Hi! Well, the snow has getting a little more serious than we expected. Yesterday we had a power outage for 5 hours, that's why I didn't commect at all. But the good thing is I went to the forest, and it was really pretty, so I decided to share some photos with you :)

riley rue (rileyrue) | 508 comments This is what "Winter Wonderland" is called, what a beautiful sight!! You're so lucky to have a forest nearby (nearby I presume?), it must be so nice taking snowy Winter walks. If it wasn't for the cold, I could spend all day somewhere out there just reading and enjoying the scenery... :)

yes, it is nearby, on a sunny day, I can be there in only 15 minutes, but with all this snow it took me 1 hour. No, I'm not exaggerating. I would love to go out and read too, but the book would probably be damaged by all this snow :)

message 180: by riley rue (new)

riley rue (rileyrue) | 508 comments Awe it feels like you're a fairy living nearby a Winter Wonderland, so lucky!! And as the other seasons come around, the forest will be so nice to walk around. I am envious in the friendliest way possible!

And yes, but before your book gets damaged by the snow, I think your fingers would freeze and fall off first... It looks very, very cold out there! Make sure to wear as much as you can when you head out.

Yess, I seriously wore 3 sweaters and 2 jackets to get out there, and it was still cold! The good thing is that I can sit and read while watching the snow falling out of my window :)

message 182: by riley rue (last edited Jan 26, 2022 11:46PM) (new)

riley rue (rileyrue) | 508 comments That's great, happy-reading to you then! I'll also be staying in my cabin, watching the snow flutter softly onto the ground, all in my imagination... *grin*

Wren (Fariywren) Hiatusā„ | 903 comments No, but I wish it did! it's been raining most of the day so it's been nice and cool but it gets really really hot.

I love the rain too, anything cold actually. I hate summer, which sounds really strange to most people, but it's truth. I can't stand all this heat, I just want to feel cold :)

message 191: by Dreamer (last edited Feb 05, 2022 07:38AM) (new)

Dreamer | 5128 comments I don't know what is happening with me lately, but I start feeling like my preferance for genres has started changing.. For example, till some weeks ago, I would say that I love YA fantasy, but suddenly I feel like.. YA isn't really my thing. I know that if my taste changes, that isn't bad, it's just natural, but I scroll my TBR, and see books that once I wanted to read so bad, and I realise that I have no interest on reading them anymore... It feels really strange. I don't recognise myself anymore..

message 192: by Hailey (new)

Hailey (haileyythereader) change is a good thing! sometime you just grow out of things and move on and that’s okay! read what makes you happy and nothing else matters :))

message 193: by riley rue (new)

riley rue (rileyrue) | 508 comments Yes, agreeing with Hailey! Reading's a super personal thing and it's totally normal to not feel interested in books you were interested in before. Do what fits your vibe!

yeah, I know, but it's so super strange, cause there are books that I've been wanting to read for ages so so much, and I suddenly don't want anymore.. Like Six of Crows, Shadow and Bone, Legend, The Hunger Games... I feel like litte by little I'm removing all the YA fantasy or dystopian books from my TBR....

Ahhh seeing Legend on the list hurt my heart a littlešŸ’” lol But yeah, everyones right, just read whatever you feel like reading, bc book moods can change all the time and i think its more enjoyable when you read what you feel like reading instead of forcing yourself to read things you dont want to

yes, that's true! sorry for doing that to your favorite book, I'm sure it's great, I just don't feel like reading this genre right now.. I might pick it up when I'll have a different mood :)
