SOLVED. Children's- Cover is Butterflies, Cursive Handwriting on Composition Notebook, Girl with Red Hair Difficulty with Penmanship. [s]

This is a book I loved and I read it around 2005/2006...

It focuses on class of young kid's (like 1st grade, 2nd grade) and I believe there is a class animal, like a gerbil, who is going home with different students at a time.
The main character is the girl who I think is depicted on the cover; she's very pretty, the illustrations are so good- and she has red hair and freckles.
She is learning how to write in cursive; something about how she hates her handwriting/or maybe she can't spell easily. She has a butterfly pen or pencil- and scribbles and doodles a lot. She makes journal entries or we can see her assignments through the pages (that are edited in red)

I would really want to find this! If anyone knows, that would be literally incredible!

SOLVED! It is Hallie's Horrible Handwriting! When I saw just the title, I instantly recognized and seeing its cover again I almost cried. Sending you a virtual hug- thank you SO much!

It's funny because I saw another Hopscotch Hill School book, Thank You, Logan, was with a school bunny rabbit so I overlapped those two, and totally forgot that one even existed!

So happy. Thank you so much again. I love this group lol.
