Lance takes the girls to visit their father’s grave where Ava is troubled about her happiness in having him become her new father. How do you think he handled the situation? How do you feel about the visit?

Lance is so sweet with the girls.
What stuck out for me here was Ava's vicious schoolmate. Kids can be so nasty to one another.

I really have loved how they’ve portrayed Lance’s relationship with Ava, Mia and Sophie. His affection for them was genuine and theirs for him adorable.

That scene with Ava was heartbreaking. I’m sure that little girl was parroting something she heard from an adult. But, that little girl has all the makings of becoming a teen mean girl 😏 However, Lance handled the situation with sensitivity and grace. I thought his message to John was poignant.

Yes, it was a wonderful scene.
I cannot help but think that Leigh would be better at writing contemporary romance. Her heroes are amazing.
