I'm so thrilled you enjoyed it. What a fab review. Thank you so much! Did I take some of it too far? Or did you like the darkness?

Some area's I know won't be shown on TV, but they can make it so close to where we know whats going on. I can see a mini series because you left the ending open.

Jimmie | 302 comments Group, I just completed reading Kill List. Wow, what a wild book. I will need to take a moment to collect my thoughts before offering my wisdom from this book. I will review the comments from this thread and provide my insights in a few moments. Wow, just plain, wow!

Jimmie | 302 comments Ok, I have read the comments and I'm ready to impart my thoughts on this great book.

I agree, Kill List would make a great movie or TV show. In my review of Kill List, I stated I felt like I was reading a script for the now ended TV series, Criminal Minds while reading Kill List.

I love how the psychology of this book gets intertwined within Emilia and her father. I also like how this book detailed how good people can turn bad and bad people and can turn back to good. I'm specifically speaking about the last remaining game player detective that ended up doing the right thing in the end.

Bravo Vicki for writing a compelling book!

Lesr Kew Hi! Thank you so much for a copy of this book. I’m sorry, I was unable to finish it. It was a bit too dark and bloody for me. I love a good thriller, I just wasn’t in the head space for the details in the beginning, and I did not finish it this time around. Perhaps in the future I can pick it up again when I’m wanting something darker and after reading all these reviews it’s sure making me not want to give up on it. Im unable to give more of a review for now, but perhaps in the future. Thanks again!!

I liked the darkness, though only because you consistently had your MCs question their own actions from a moral point of view.

Yep Jimmie, it was a closer at the end huh? It kind of had that DEXTER feeling for me for some odd reason,,,But there was a few spots that I wanted to give Emilia a wake-up call, because when you kill, you do it in a rush, not no sit on the couch, and eat ju-ju-beans,, feel the leather on the couch, you get me??? haha, Man what a smooth ride in the hospital...BOOM, your gone...hahah..Yeah I would read a part-2 of this..

message 59: by Jimmie (new)

Jimmie | 302 comments I have read all of the Dexter books and watched every Dexter show on Showtime. And I can concur with you Stephanie. Kill List brings some flashbacks to Dexter. Killing with a purpose.

I find it interested this is the second Kill List book we have discussed. We discussed Kill List by Brian Shea a few years ago. But both books were completely different.

Love that you've compared it to Criminal Minds. I love that show!! I really hope my agent takes this to the screen in Hollywood. If it does, we will all have to tune in eek.

I better get my thinking cap on. I don't know where I'm going to begin with it yet. I'm thinking Emilia can travel to other countries and track down more players. A Killing Eve type spree x

Hey, that's no problem. I knew it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. My own mum and nan won't even read it LOL. Maybe one day you'll come back to it. You certainly need to be a strong place yourself xxx
Thank you for attempting it xx

Love that you got the Dexter feel. It was one of my all time favourite shows and I had him in my head while writing this. I wanted readers to like Emilia as I did Dexter, even though he was killing people!

Vicki Fitzgerald (vickifitzgerald) | 33 comments I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has read Kill List and left me such wonderful, honest reviews. This has been a wonderful opportunity and I cannot thank you enough. It has given me motivation to finish book four, Lies Kill. If anyone fancies a copy of my memoir, Still Standing, I'm more than happy to send it over. Maybe then you will see why I'm so disturbed ha ha ha xx

Jan Michiels | 3 comments Hi, quite new to this group here. Am I too late to still apply for this book? Just read what it’s about and it sounds really interesting to say the least. Definitely a “want to read” for me hehehe.
If I’m not too late, my e-mail is: michielsj@gmail.com
Thanks in advance :-)

Hi Jan, I am the MOD for this group. I don't know if Vicki is still sending out free copies, but if you don't hear from her in a few days, just email her by message. We are in the May/June/July thread, and then we started a new book, but Vicki's is OUTSTANDING, so send her a message. ,,,

Rainz ❤️rainnbooks❤️(on a break) (rainnbooks) | 37 comments Had planned to read Kill List last month, but started it and felt that I was not in the right headspace for reading such an intense revenge drama, what with being in a lockdown and no respite from seeing just the 4 walls.

I did finish it now and am left speechless, honestly. Think it would make a perfect series for big-screen viewing!
