SOLVED. YA? Fantasy. Boy in coma was hit by a truck. He meets a fire fairy. Spoilers ahead. [s]

What’s the name of that book: a boy has a loving mother but a cruel and evil step father. His step father hits him with his red truck and the boy is taken to hospital with a coma. In the coma his spirit is lifted to the roof where he meets an old man who is also about to pass away and a fire fairy who is supposed to assist him on his way to heaven or the afterlife. When he realised that he is going to die he tries to create signs when his family comes in to tell them that his step father hit him with the truck. The fire fairy isn’t supposed to help him but she does and he tells his mum and I think sister before his step father kills him.
