There are two books- her side of the story and his side of the story. Here is what I remember:

Main character (my brain is saying her name is Tina, but don't quote me) just returned with her family friend England. Her sister Drew has a longtime boyfriend, Jake, but she has fallen for another guy back in England- Leslie. "Tina" has a huge crush on Jake, but knows he's off limits since he's her sister's boyfriend. "Tina" joins the boys soccer team. As Drew/Jake grow apart, Tina/Jake get closer and end up getting together at the end.
Second story is Jake's perspective on the same story.

I read this around 2006/2007 but that's not necessarily when it came out.
