I think it was an opportunity of convenience. She was poor and saw an opportunity to have a cell phone.
Bryant seemed totally clued into the conflict of Marie coming to Henryk’s aid and then nabbing his phone. It was impulsive and given that she later preserved it, a decision she regretted.
Agree with you both on this one. I'm sure when poverty is a factor keeping to the moral path becomes more difficult. Not excusing it but understanding why she did what she did.
I agree with everyone. She saw the cellphone and put it in her pocket. I think she felt guilty about it when she handed it over.
Yeah, I finally landed with it being an opportunistic crime, too, Lynn. Especially since she attempted to preserve it later. It was wrapped in protective cellophane or something like that.
