So we just put a challenge of book number we want to read on April? Like the year's challenge but for this month only?
Exactly, that's basically it - only that the books will be counted from only the one shelf you've named, too.

Not necessary. You can choose the amount f books you think you will be able to read and continue reading and rating like normal. Except, you'll have to mark all April books with the shelf you've chosen for the challenge.
I'll be joining in with 4 5 books.
I've made myself a readathon shelf just now and put an optimistic 6 books to that, though ;-)

Hello everyone,
I've had a look at our challenge page: There are an impressive 75 books pledged as of yet, and we're actually on a good way to achieving that goal.
I hope you all enjoy your reading!

Knock yourself out x-D
No, honestly, I'm always impressed and slightly intimidated by what reading some people can pack into their daily life. Always makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong. ;-)

Hey Readathonites,
we're not half through with April yet, but we're over halfway there for our goal. And the first person has actually already surpassed their personal one!

Another update on our first readathon:
We're 80% done as of today, and at least four readathonites have already met or surpassed their personal reading goals.
18 books overall to go to reach the readathon goal of 94.

So, the Readathonites not only made it to their goal but ran straight past it, and on!
Congratulations to everyone who already achieved or surpassed their personal reading goals for the month!

:D o y i n :D thought this should be commemorated in some way, and here is what we came up with:
This is our first readathon, in honour of the group's growth.
So we'll be all reading/working towards a common goal, of course!
Everybody can join, no matter if they want to pledge 1 book, or 20 - whatever number of books you think you can fit in to finish during April is fine!
How to participate:
1) Decide how many books you want to pledge to the group goal.
2) Go to your "my books" page and create a new bookshelf for this challenge.
2.1) Add books to the shelf you intend to finish in April, ideally matching your goal (you can do this step later, though.)
3) Go back to the challenge on the group homepage on April 1st, pledge your planned number of books and add the shelf you created.
4) Get ready for your April reading, smash that pile of unread books, and have fun!
Duration: April 1st - 30th, 2021
