Okay, how about we do GREEN, GREEN, GREEN, BLUE, GREEN. We know that both of these colors can't be in the 4th spot, so no matter what we get we'll know what's correct (Black pegs mean GREEN and a white peg means BLUE). And if we get no pegs, neither color will be in the code, so then we'll know the four colors and will be working on which one is duplicated. Does this sound good to everyone?

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Megan, I'm so glad you figured out that color thing. It makes perfect sense now that you've explained it.

Thanks on the nonfiction is okay thing. I'll begin Believing God this week.

And that is super cool about Caitlyn's book. Greene/green. Serious laugh-out-loud moment!

Happy reading, everyone!

Caitlyn Santi | 811 comments Megan, sorry for the confusion! I was actually just trying to help Andrea when I mentioned From the Start, I actually read it myself a couple of weeks ago, I wasn't planning to use it for this challenge. I was just pointing out the different colors it would work for. Again, so sorry for the confusion! :D

I will post later today which book I will be reading for GREEN

Caitlyn, I think it's a close call with the green but it looks like enough...plus I'm pretty sure that the setting is Georgia and that would work too (as of the rule addition HERE).

message 169: by Caitlyn (last edited Mar 26, 2015 02:56PM) (new)

Caitlyn Santi | 811 comments Great thanks, Megan! You are correct it does take place in Georgia, I wasn't aware of that rule change so thanks for bringing that to my attention, BTW that's a really neat rule addition! :)

I am officially changing my book to Hidden Agenda, can't wait to start it hopefully I will be able to tonight!!! :)

Okay, we got nothing again...but this is a good thing because now we know the four colors and just have to figure out which one is duplicated! So I propose we do the following guess:

BLACK
YELLOW
ORANGE
BROWN
DUPLICATE (one of the four colors above, whichever works best for people)

Does this sound good to everyone?

----------------------------------

Team Sherlock

Guess #6: BLACK, YELLOW, ORANGE, BROWN,

Books Read
Barefoot Summer (Chapel Spring #1) by Denise Hunter The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram From the Start (Walker Family, #1) by Melissa Tagg Blur (Blur Trilogy #1) by Steven James A Handful Of Pebbles by Sara Alexi

BLACK: Barefoot Summer by Denise Hunter (Title)
Read by Rita, finished 4/7 ★★★★★

YELLOW: The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram (Cover)
Read by Megan, finished 4/7 ★★★★★

ORANGE: From the Start by Melissa Tagg (Cover)
Read by Andrea, finished 4/7 ★★★★★

BROWN: Blur by Steven James (Title)
Read by Caitlyn, finished 4/4 ★★★★

BROWN: A Handful Of Pebbles by Sara Alexi (?)
Read by Kimberly, finished 4/6 ★★★★★

I know I have a book that works for yellow, plan on reading From the Start (Walker Family, #1) by Melissa Tagg , but it might also work for another color (haven't checked yet).

message 187: by Caitlyn (new)

Caitlyn Santi | 811 comments That sounds good to me. I plan on reading Blur (Blur Trilogy #1) by Steven James which would work for either Black or Brown.

Also just to let everyone know I have this book Deadly Devotion (Port Aster Secrets, #1) by Sandra Orchard (Which would work for Orange because of the author's last name) to loan on Kindle in case anyone is interested in reading it and wants to borrow it. I haven't read it yet but I've heard it's a good mystery/suspense book! :)

message 188: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Up next for me is also From the Start (Walker Family, #1) by Melissa Tagg . So perhaps Megan can read it for yellow and I could read it for orange? The cover features both colors equally. If that won't work, let me know. Or we could both read it for yellow to see if that's the duplicate. Let me know if this won't work and I need to find a different book.

We're getting closer, y'all! I'm so excited. Can't wait to see what our code is at the end.
